An issuey day

Wowie. Today has been so “issuey.” Like, it’s April and it’s supposed to be nice out but it’s only 30 degrees so I can’t figure out what to wear and change clothes three times this morning (all outfits requiring ironing). And then since it’s so damned cold there’s frost on the roof of my car and being who I am decide to put my full coffee mug on top of the car just so I can let it slide right off and watch freshly brewed Southern Pecan Blue Monday coffee spill all over the parking lot. To make things worse, my computer at work decides to crash by just turning itself off all by its lonesome. Honest. I was just sitting there typing. And to top it off, the network decides that I’m a space hog and declares there’s no more room for my work even though all I did was organize the shared drive and not create all the documents in it. So, it’s time to go home. Things will be better there.

This entry has been a tribute to Matt Haughey who, in his recollections on SXSW (no, I didn’t go) wishes that weblog authors might give the longer, more personal format a try. (I’m sure, Matt, that my above kvetch isn’t what you were talking about. But oh well.)
