L-A-S-A-G-N-A or L-A-S-A-G-N-E? (I prefer the latter.) Do you remember the one word that made you lose the eighth grade spelling bee? For me, it was the above. And what really stunk (and still does, but I’m really not all that bitter) is that both spellings are correct … the judges just didn’t realize it. So, Rachel Eelkema spelled it with an “a” and stole my city-wide spelling bee championship right out from under me. I can’t help but think of this story about this time every year, especially when I see stories like this. Congratulations to George Abraham Thampy of Maryland Heights, Mo. D-E-M-A-R-C-H-E.So this must be Pyra’s second announcement. Geez, Kottke, you had your chance.
