Roger and I returned safely to Minneapolis after a great Thanksgiving weekend with my family in Bismarck. We did make it to the mall … made a few purchases at Barnes and Noble, and the browsing there only made me add another half dozen items to my book wishlist (which I’m compiling at Amazon for all you gift-givers out there!). Roger and I went to Harry Potter on Saturday — Roger enjoyed it even though he’s never read the books, as did I. Sunday we made it back to Minneapolis in good time, just a day ahead of the snow. Roger’s parents, near the Willmar area, got 28 inches on Monday and Tuesday, but we fared better down south. This weekend has been warmer; the snow’s almost melted from our patio and I can almost see the green grass again out the apartment window.
This weekend I’m home alone again … but this should be my last solo weekend for a while, as Roger is ending his enlistment in the National Guard on the 15th. However, this weekend I’ve been unpacking wedding gifts (dishes, glassware, etc.), that has been in storage for a few weeks. I packed up all our old stuff and our cupboards now gleam with the new settings from Crate and Barrel. (Thanks to all of you who gave us the beautiful wedding presents — we’ll have you all over so you can eat off and drink from your gifts!)
Updates to this site include photos (finally!): Last week I managed to get our honeymoon photos up, and just tonight I put up about 40 photos of the wedding day to an Ofoto album (credit to Scott Wojahn, our awesome photographer). Enjoy!
On our to do list still: thank you notes. Oh, do we have a lot of thank you notes to write.
