Now I’ve seen everything!
As I was driving to work today on Hwy 100 this morning, I saw a truck that had advertising on the back of it. And then it changed to a different ad, twice. As I got closer I also noticed that the sides of the vehicle were changing as well. The company that does the advertising is Ad Mirage and apparently it’s called Mobile Billboard Advertising. I suppose it makes sense as a way to reach all those people sitting in traffic. And since according to the MNDot guy that was at my Rotary meeting a couple a weeks ago, “the traffic is only going to get worse before it gets better!”

An observation about the Convention Grill
Last night we went to the Convention Grill for what else, burgers, fries and malts. It was surprisingly quiet there last night and the waitress told us that this time of year is very quiet on Mondays and it gets progressively busier as the week goes on. We’ve always made one unique observation when we’ve been there regardless of who the host is (there’s about four or five). They usually take you into the large dining room and just point at a table or booth and tell you to “sit over there” and then they walk away. So, since our waitress was being friendly we decided to mention it to her and she got a big chuckle out of it. Then as we were leaving, she mentioned it to the young man who was one of the managers and he too got a laugh out of it and we saw him smile for the first time. Of course I’m sure we’ve been marked now and will never get a table again.
Thanks, everyone, for all the birthday wishes, and to Ryan and Paula for going out with us to celebrate both Ryan and my birthdays.
