Despite that Roger and I haven’t assembled our “preparedness kit” or bought any more duct tape or plastic sheeting (we have enough from the last home renovation project, thank you), I do think that the new ready.gov site is pretty cool. There’s something that appeals to me about downloading all their lists, buying two big plastic tubs and filling them up with all sorts of neat supplies (I think it’s my “tubbing” gene — you should see my storeroom).

Hard to believe, but as of 4 p.m., there were already two listings for “Columbia Debris” on Ebay. Bids started at $1. Fortunately, it looks like the kind folks at Ebay have discontinued the auctions ….
