I highly recommend a weeklong vacation thousands of miles away from home. Too often I find myself taking a day off from work here and there, only to end up running errands, doing laundry and checking email. So Roger and I remedied that last week and spent a week at an all-inclusive resort close to to Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
Roger and I stayed at Club Maeva Tulum (formerly Club Robinson Tulum, where Germans and topless sunbathers onced ruled the roost). We enjoyed a week of lying on the beach, amazing food and good books. The resort, apparently one of the first in the area, had a stunning beach, fun entertainment (Tequila Volleyball, anyone?) and excellent service. Both of us returned to the snowy Twin Cities relaxed, stress-free and very tan.
