Coming from as far away as North Dakota? ; ) If so, here's some information you'll want to know about traveling to and staying in Northfield.

GETTING TO NORTHFIELD
Northfield is about 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities.

From the Twin Cities, take Interstate 35 south to Exit 69. Travel east on Highway 19 for five miles; the campus is on your left as you enter the Northfield city limits. You may also reach the campus via St. Olaf Avenue, which intersects Highway 3 in Northfield.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT ST. OLAF ...
From the Highway 19 entrance, turn left onto the campus and go up the hill. Go left at the top of the hill and follow the road around the perimeter of campus. Just past the Dittmann Center for Art and Dance, you will see the Commons on your right, a large limestone building directly east of the chapel. Park in the "visitor" parking in the lot in front of the building. The Sun Room is in the northeast corner of the building's top floor.

WHERE TO STAY
The Struthers family (with their hotel connections) has reserved a block of rooms in the new Super 8 in Northfield. Ten rooms are available for Friday night, and 15 are available for Saturday, at a rate of $59.99 (two beds, non-smoking). You can call the hotel directly to make your reservations at (507) 663-0371 (the rooms are under "Struthers".

Directions to the hotel
If you are coming into Northfield traveling east on Highway 19, continue driving past the St. Olaf College entrance (on your left) and past the Malt-o-Meal factory (on your right) until you get to the first stoplight. This is Highway 3. Take a right at this intersection, and travel south for about a mile or so, through a few more stoplights. The Super 8 will be on your right, near the Jesse James Lanes. You'll have to get on the frontage road in order to get to the hotel.
